KORO Top Drain

KORO Top Drain

Complete one-pass surface drainage system

KORO® TopDrain is a specialized drainage system used in turf management to improve the health and performance of sports fields, golf courses, and other turf areas. The system uses a combination of cutting and vacuuming technology to create narrow trenches in the soil, which are then filled with sand or other porous materials. These trenches provide a pathway for excess water to drain away from the turf, preventing waterlogging and other issues that can harm turf growth and health.

KORO® TopDrain can help with the turf in several ways. It can improve the drainage capacity of the soil, allowing excess water to move away from the turf more quickly and efficiently. This can reduce the risk of waterlogging, which can lead to root damage, disease, and poor growth. By removing excess thatch and other organic matter from the soil, KORO® TopDrain can improve the air and nutrient exchange between the soil and the turf, promoting healthier and more vigorous growth. KORO® TopDrain can help to reduce the risk of injuries to athletes and other users of the turf by creating a firmer and more stable playing surface that is less prone to slipping and sliding.

The KORO® Story – a brief history

The brainchild of Ko Rodenberg, the KORO® FIELDTOPMAKER® (KORO® FTM®) came to market in 1997 as the key machine in a renovation programme designed to improve pitch quality and extend playing hours on natural turf soccer pitches.

The acquisition of the manufacturing rights by Imants in 2009 and the fine-tuning of the “Fraise mowing” renovation practice has led to the design of a new range of rotors. Campey Turf Care Systems has been at the fore in developing the Imants KORO® FIELDTOPMAKER® into a system that can be used on a wide range of surfaces for a number of different renovation practices. “Koro-ing” is now an established renovation practice worldwide!

Established in 1986 by Richard Campey

Richard Campey detected an untapped market need, he realised that there was a role for a specialist supplier of high quality purpose built equipment that would enable turf managers to meet the increased demands placed on modern sports turf surfaces.

What initially started out as business offering sports turf maintenance work within the North West of the United Kingdom, has now grown to be one of the leading UK’s independent distributors, with machinery available throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the USA.

Centaur Asia Pacific is the distributor for Campey Turf Care Systems range of products in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Brunei.
